Earlier this week, J&K Bank announced the launch of its GSS e-Portal to track loan applications under the Government Sponsored Schemes (GSS). As a step towards bringing greater transparency to the loan application process within the Bank, J&K Bank’s chief secretary inaugurated the GSS e-portal to track credit applications under government-sponsored schemes.

GSS loan applications will be handled by the Bank using the initiative, and applicants and sponsoring agencies will be able to make timely interventions if and when required. The applicant has an absolute right to know whether his loan application was approved or denied and why.

Upon rejection of their loan requests, he requested that the department ensure that SMS alerts are sent to the applicants detailing the reasons for the rejection. The chief secretary reiterated to the information technology minister that the project to digitize all government schemes and deliverables must be completed by 15th March. Further, Dr. Mehta suggested that the Bank ensures the mobile version of the portal is available by 15th March and that each of the 15 centrally sponsored schemes have been integrated with it.

J&K Bank Friday launched its GSS e-Portal for tracking loan applications submitted under Government Sponsored Schemes (GSS). The chief secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta inaugurated the J&K Bank’s GSS e-portal for real time tracking of credit applications under government sponsored schemes and described it as an important step towards transparency in the processing of loan applications in the bank.
He said this initiative will address the longstanding concerns surrounding the processing of GS loan applications in the bank and enable the applicants and the sponsoring agencies to make timely interventions if and when necessary.
