The department of school education and literacy under the ministry of human resource development has launched the NMMS Scholarship 2022. The full form of NMMS scholarship is the national means cum merit scholarship scheme. NMMS Scholarship: 5060 Students From Gujarat Qualified Scholarship Exam

The merit list of the national means cum merit Scholarship exam has been announced by the Gujarat secondary And higher secondary Education board on 16th June 2022. Around 5060 students have been successful to qualify for the exam. NMMS scholarship is a union government program. Through this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to the students of class 8 who belong to financially weak backgrounds so that they can complete their education till class 12th. Around 1.8 lakh students appeared in the exam on 17th April 2022 this year. Out of this student, 43828 students have cleared it.

All the students who have made the merit list are required to open their bank accounts in which the scholarship amount will be deposited. Around 359 students from Ahmedabad, 212 students from banaskantha, and 212 students from Bhavnagar have been selected under the scheme.

NMMS Scholarship: Result For Scholarship Exam Announced

On 9th may 2022 the Government of Kerala released the result for the Kerala National means cum merit Scholarship examination result for class 8th. All those candidates who have registered and taken the exam can check their NMMS results on the official website. The exam was conducted on 22nd March 2022. All those candidates who will clear the exam will get a scholarship. Beneficiaries will be able to avail scholarship amount of Rs 6000 per annum. Before announcing the result the examination authorities have also released the provisional answer keys for students. The scholarship amount under NMMS Scholarship is Rs 12000 per annum which is 1000 per month. NMMS Scholarship Scheme 2022 Selection Procedure

Each state and union territory conducts a selection test which includes a mental ability test and scholastic aptitude test. The guidelines for these tests are set by NCERT. The candidates are required to pass these tests in order to be eligible for the scholarship. On the basis of this test, scholarships are awarded to the students. The student is required to complete this test at a maximum time duration of 90 minutes. Those students who have special abilities will be provided with extra time to complete the test. NMMS Scholarship Result Declaration

After the student has appeared in the MAT and SAT examinations the student is required to secure at least 40% marks in each test. The list of students who have qualified for the exam will be declared by the state. Important Conditions Regarding Starting & Continuing Of NMMS Scholarship

For receiving the scholarship the awardees should get clear promotion from class 8 to class 9th
The scholarship is payable at the secondary and higher secondary stage or equivalent classes of 9th to 12th for a maximum period of four years
Students can avail of this scholarship for studies in India only
For getting this scholarship in classes 10th and 12 the awardees are required to get clear promotion in class 9th to 10th and from class 11th to 12th in the first attempt with at least 55% marks
Relaxation will be provided in SC and ST categories
The relaxation will be at 5%
This scheme will be reviewed after three years
The department will monitor the scheme at regular intervals with concerned stakeholders
For effective implementation and monitoring of this scheme, a technical support group will be constituted
If any school or educational institution does not conduct an examination at the end of class 9th or 12th the scholarship for the 2nd year will be continued on the submission of a certificate to this effect from the head of the institution or school
For continuation of this scholarship, the awardee is required to obtain at least 60% marks in class 10th

Disbursement Of NMMS Scholarship

If a student is obtaining a scholarship from the state of Central Government then he or she will not be eligible to take benefit of this scheme
The scholarship awardee is required to open a bank account in the State Bank of India or any public sector bank or scheduled bank
The state government will upload the list of beneficiaries on the scholarship portal
This list will be scrutinized by the ministry and sanction of funds from the annual budget provision will be made
The amount of scholarship will be directly disbursed into the bank account of the beneficiary
The awardee is required to obtain at least 55% marks in class 9th and 11th and 60% marks in class 10th for a continuation of the scholarship
It is the responsibility of the State Bank of India to ensure that the scholarship is provided to the beneficiary in one go after getting funds and a list from the ministry
Other than that the State Bank of India will also instruct its branches to coordinate with the state education department in connection with the payment of scholarship
