A cruise ship will leave Hazira every Monday and Wednesday and reach Diu next day in the morning. Return journey will take place on the same day in the evening from Diu and end at Hazira next day in the morning. One side journey will take 13 to 14 hours time.
A 300-passenger capacity cruise ship will have 16 cabins. It will make two round trips in a week. It will take passengers to high-sea on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Initially, this service will be weekly with the vessel departing from Bandra Worli Sealink every Thursday at around 5pm to arrive at Hazira on Friday at around 9am. It will depart from Hazira on Friday around 5pm to arrive at Bandra Worli Sealink next day at 9am. The number of trips will be increased as per demand.
“We have developed marine terminal and infrastructure required for handling such passenger vessel at our Hazira terminal. We plan to support the cruise tourism initiative of Government or Gujarat by developing ancillary services, including a marina, promenade and ship repair facility at Hazira”, said port officer of GMB; captain Subhash Das.

100 meter long and 40 meter wide Ro-Pax terminal, constructed with the cost implications of approximately Rs 25 crore, has facilities like administrative office building, parking area, substation and water tower.
Savings :
The reduced cargo travel time from 10 to 12 hours to about four hours will also result in huge savings of fuel which is estimated to be around 9,000 litre per day and lower the maintenance cost of vehicles drastically.

According to a report by PTI, with the inauguration of a Hydrogen-enriched Compressed Natural Gas (HCNG) plant and dispensing station at the Rajghat depot in New Delhi, the six-month trial of the clean fuel in a fleet of 50 cluster buses began on Tuesday. “We are starting the six-month trial of HCNG fuel in 50 BS-IV compliant buses of Rajghat depot starting today (Tuesday). Delhi, as the country’s capital is taking a lead in promoting environment conscious transport policies by adopting cleaner fuels like HCNG and electric vehicles,” Delhi transport minister Kailash Gahlot said.
